The person or firm responsible for the planning, coordination and controlling of a project from inception to completion, meeting the project’s requirements and ensuring completion on time, within cost and to required quality standards.

A systems analyst with a diverse set of skills–management, leadership, technical, conflict management, and customer relationship–who is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, and closing down a project.

The Project Manager defines, plans, schedules, and controls the project. The project plan must include tasks, deliverables and resources – the people who will perform the tasks. The manager will monitor and coordinate the activities of the team, and will review their deliverables.
